Standard Warranty Programs

 

A. Interactive Flat Panel Board (IFPB)

  • Default Coverage (Unregistered): 1-Year Standard Warranty if product is not registered on thegtek.com within 90 days of purchase.
  • Default Coverage (Registered): 4-Year Standard Warranty if product is registered on thegtek.com within 90 days of purchase.
  • Service Support: Warranty service managed under GTEK Standard Warranty Service – IFPB.

B. OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) Modules

  • Default Coverage: 1-Year Standard Warranty from date of purchase.
  • Extended Coverage (Registered): 1-Year Standard Warranty remains standard, but
    customers are encouraged to register within 90 days to activate full service support.
  • Service Support: Warranty service managed under GTEK Standard Warranty Service – OPS system.

C. Accessories (Camera)

  • Default Coverage (Unregistered): 1-Year Standard Warranty from date of purchase.
  • Default Coverage (Registered): 1-Year Standard Warranty remains standard, but registration on thegtek.com within 90 days ensures full service support.
  • Service Support: Warranty service managed under GTEK Standard Warranty Service –Camera.


GTEK Standard Warranty Service - IFPB

Coverage Terms:

  • Duration: Standard warranty period (as specified for each product).
  • Scope of Coverage:
    • Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
    • Functional failures under normal use
  • Service Process:
    1. Customer Contact: The customer contacts GTEK support with proof of purchase and the product serial number.
    2. Advance Replacement: GTEK can ship a replacement product first while holding the customer’s credit card on file.
    3. Return of Defective Product: The customer ships the defective product back to GTEK; the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

 

GTEK Standard Warranty Service - OPS System

Coverage Terms:

  • Duration: Covers the standard warranty period for the product. 
  • Scope of Coverage:
    • Defects in materials or workmanship
    • Functional failures under normal usage
  • Service Process:
    1. Customer contacts GTEK support with proof of purchase and product serial number.
    2. Customer ships defective products to an authorized GTEK service center at their own expense.
    3. GTEK repairs or replaces the unit at no additional cost and ships it back to the customer.

 

GTEK Standard Warranty Service - Camera

Coverage Terms:

  • Duration: 1-Year Standard Warranty from the date of purchase for unregistered product. With registration on thegtek.com within 90 days will ensure full service support.
  • Scope of Coverage:
    • Covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship.
    • Includes major components such as lens, sensor, and internal electronics.
    • Excludes accidental damage (drops, spills, impacts, power surges).
  • Service Support:
    1. Customer contacts GTEK support with proof of purchase and product serial number.
    2. Customer ships defective camera to an authorized GTEK service center at their own expense.
    3. GTEK repairs or replaces the unit at no additional cost and ships it back to the customer.

 

Extended Warranty Programs

 

GTEK Care (Standard Extension)

  • Purchase Request: Warranty registration and order must be completed on thegtek.com within ninety (90) days of the original product purchase date. Warranty pricing is subject to adjustment effective in 2027 to reflect increases in material costs.
  • Available for specific models at a fixed purchase price:
    • 65B1TW – $259
    • 75B1TW85 – $359
    • 85B1TW – $559
    • 98B1TW – $1059

Coverage Terms:

  • Duration: Adds 2 additional years to the standard warranty.
  • Scope of Coverage:
    • Covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship.
    • Includes major components: display panel, power supply, control boards, and internal electronics.
    • Does not cover accidental damage (drops, spills, impacts, power surges).
  • Service Process:
    1. Customer Contact: The customer reaches out to GTEK support with proof of purchase and the product serial number.
    2. Advance Replacement: GTEK offers an advance shipping service, sending the replacement product first while holding the customer’s credit card on file.
    3. Return of Defective Product: GTEK arranges a pick-up service for the defective product. The customer is responsible for the return shipping fee.


GTEK Care – Extended Warranty for OPS

  • Purchase Request: Warranty registration and order must be completed on thegtek.com within ninety (90) days of the original OPS purchase date. Warranty pricing is subject to adjustment effective in 2027 to reflect increases in material costs.
  • Available for specific OPS models at a fixed purchase price:
    • AR8128 – $59.99
    • ARP16256 – $79.99
    • W7A16256 – $119.99

  • Duration: Adds 1 additional year to the standard OPS warranty.
  • Scope of Coverage:
    • Covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship.
    • Includes major components: processor modules, memory, internal electronics.
    • Does not cover accidental damage (drops, spills, impacts, power surges).
  • Service Support:
    1. Customer contacts GTEK support with proof of purchase and product serial number.
    2. Customer ships defective OPS to an authorized GTEK service center at their own expense.
    3. GTEK repairs or replaces the unit at no additional cost and ships it back to the customer.


GTEK Care – Extended Warranty (Camera)

GTEK Care+ (Premium Extended Warranty)

  • Purchase request: Warranty registration and order must be completed on thegtek.com within ninety (90) days of the original product purchase date. Warranty pricing is subject to effective adjustment in 2027 to reflect increases in material costs.
  • Available for specific models at a fixed purchase price:
    • 65B1TW – $359
    • 75B1TW85 – $499
    • 85B1TW – $759
    • 98B1TW – $1459
  • Duration: Extends the standard warranty by 2 additional years.
  • Scope of Coverage:
    • Includes all benefits of GTEK Care, plus one-time accidental damage protection, covering:
    • Drops, impacts, and liquid spills
    • Power surge damage
    • Screen damage caused by non-manufacturer defects
  • Service Process:
    1. Priority Service Response: Faster approval and turnaround for claims.
    2. Advance Replacement: GTEK ships a replacement product first while holding the customer’s credit card on file.
    3. Return of Defective Product: GTEK arranges pick-up and provides free return shipping for the defective item.
